For a change of pace, catch a movie at the theater, watch YouTube on your in-game TV, or challenge others to a street race. From paintball and Capture the Flag to Prop Hunt and basketball, there is always something to do.
If you want a thriving restaurant, someone has to grow the crops, someone has to transport them, and someone has to cook. You can establish businesses, purchase real estate, drive, fly, sail, and form alliances with whomever you meet.
To maintain a functional society, NPCs possess the same deep mechanics as players, stepping in to run any industry or job that players leave behind.
